Chiara is the C.E.O. of “Cantine Giorgio Lungarotti srl”. Raised with a love for her land since her childhood, she obtained a degree in the mid 1990’s in Agriculture at the University to Perugia with a thesis in viticulture, followed by specialization courses in Bordeaux. Her specific training, determination and enthusiasm spur her towards innovation and transformation in the vineyards and the winery, according to avant-garde techniques. Her credo is to maintain, continue and expand on what her family has created, carefully conserving the balance between respect for tradition and the experimentation of innovative development techniques and models, guiding the Companies with courage and determination through the transformations that change the face of surrounding reality day by day. In love with the countryside and its surroundings, she confesses that she knows the scent and the taste of the land and that besides vineyards, she would plant trees everywhere!
Alongside her professionalism and passion for her work, Chiara passionately cultivates interests in the cultural field, like the other Lungarotti women, conscious of the fundamental role that the culture of wine and of olive oil have had in developing Italian and Umbrian civilization, economy, history and art. But aside from her company commitments, Chiara is also National President of the Wine Tourism Movement, Advisor of Federvini, Vice-President of the Donne del Vino Association and Administrative counsellor of Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica. From the vineyard to the piano, and mother of Giovanni.
